Today I will write about use of the technologic within my area. Well, first of all I have to say that I study midwifery in the Universidad de Chile and I considered that this career is very important and relevant in our country in the actually.
For start I will write an introduction about midwifery career. In this opportunity you may have a big question this is what is the midwife labour? well now I will answer your question.
The midwifery is a career related with the pregnancy, anticonception, delivery and the care babies. The midwife is a health professional that work with the woman in all stage of here life since her childbirth to the adult life. The midwife is a professional very important in the pregnancy control, because in this period is very important give the information to mother about the different changes in her body and the different cares that must have for pregnancy.
In the midwifery the technologic is very usefull for detect some changes important in the pregnancy like the place of insertion placenta, the development fetus, the size of fetus, the tall of fetus, the state of the umbilical cord, the weight of fetus and for evaluate the correct amount of liquid amniotic. The technologic method for evaluate this aspect is the ecography.
The pregnant woman should take one ecography each trimester to evaluate the development of pregnancy and the state of the fetus. Is very important to include the father in all the pregnancy, because the presence of both parents is necessary to development of the attachment among the baby and his parents.

The technologic is very important in my future job with pregnant woman, because is necessary to control the development of the pregnancy and to evaluate the state of the mother. Also is very important use the technologic to detect congenital malformations in the fetus and anomalies in the position of the fetus.
In my opinion I think that my career is a very interesting career in the world and I think that the people should know the importance of the midwife.

Hi I am going to talk about a concert that I went and the reasons why I like the band, and some other stuff. Ok here I go:
Last week I went to a concert was a linkin park concert. It was such an amazing experience. It was my first time that I saw Linkin Park in live, and they were awesome, the sound, the guitars, and God! the drum was pretty awesome!. My best friend was there too. She made the concert even more awesome than alredy was. I have liked linkin park since I was eight years old. I remember that my mom did not like linkin park at all, because I was a little young and the lyrics were too ....how to say it? mmm were too sincere, but I liked that way. I was very lonely when I was young, and if you do not learn by yourself that out there, there is someone like you that it feels exactly like you and that you are not alone in your thoughts. No one is going to teach you. That is why I like linkin park because it made me feel like I was not alone when I thought that I was alone. I think is an energic band. Linkin park has good lyrics on their songs. I like, because in some point you feel identified with the lyrics as well with the band, because they write their own songs, someway they feel like you.

THE BRAIN

This is my sixth blog and today I will write about the most important organ in our body, this is brain. The brain is an organ very complicate and delicate, this organ has many functions in our body. There are many organs that depend of brain to make their functions, is for this reason that the brain is an elemental organ for life.
There are many myths about brain, but there are not truths. Some myths are:
- The brain is different in the animals. This myth is not truth, the parts of brain are the same in all animals.
- The human only use 10% of capacity of brain. This myth is not truth, the human use 100% of capacity of brain.
This are some of the myths of brain, but the brain is an organ very most complicated. The brain can be described in functional areas (someone controlled the information perceived by the eye, other the information perceive by the ear, etc) and all the areas are linked to permit the production and comprehension of the language.
People with problems in their brains, have some areas useless because of the “trauma”. But the brain has an extraordinary plasticity, its means that the neurons are able to replace the neuron’s networks that were destroyed and reconfigure the networks to overcome the defect, that is to say, the brain can be recovered.
Well, there are many myths of brain, but this is not truth. I think that the brain is an organ very important, because thank to our brain we can do all thinks of the diary life (to walk, to talk, to eat, etc).

Should we be worried about early puberty?

This is my fifth blog and in this opportunity I will write a summary about a medicine article of the interesting magazine called The Guardian.

I choose this article because I considered that this topic is very important in the teenage and also because the changes that suffer the adolescents are very hard mainly the psychological changes.
The article talks about the arrive early puberty and the changes that occur at biological level, psychological and social. The average age for the onset of puberty is 10.25 years in girls, and 11.5 years in boys. The interesting of this article is that in girls, the puberty came about nine months earlier. When arrive the puberty in the teenage, many parents go to the specialists to ask about changes in the puberty, like the menarche in girls or the increase in testicular size.
As Hindmarsh explains, "The age of sexual maturation is highly adaptable. The drive to continue the species is so strong that we have evolved a system that is extremely sensitive to change. If there's even a hint of change, or circumstances that might threaten the drive to procreate, then the hormone system is designed to adapt to that to create the circumstances most likely to result in offspring." In other words he says that the age of puberty is adaptable to the circumstances that the person lives.
In this article appears detailed the most common causes of the earlier puberty some of this causes are a link between exposure to artificial light and TV screens and early puberty, and another connected early puberty to weak maternal bonding.
I think that is very interesting, because in the future as midwives we will work with many young people and we have to know some aspects that are specific of puberty.

This is my fourth blog and I will talk about stress. The stress is a physiology phenomenon that occurs when the demands of life are perceived too difficult. Stress is the body's response to external conditions that disrupt the emotional balance of the individual. In this reaction, involving almost all organs and body functions, including brain, nerves, heart, blood flow, hormone levels, digestion and muscle function. Stress is a normal reaction of the lives of people of all ages. It is produced by the body's instinct to protect the physical or emotional or in extreme danger situations. " The physiological result of this process is a desire to flee from the situation that causes or violent confrontations.
Stress is caused by the body's instinct to protect himself "this instinct is good in emergencies, but if this continues for long periods may cause physical symptoms that can damage our body. Any event that generates an emotional response can cause stress. This includes both positive situations (birth of a child, marriage) and negative (job loss, death of a relative). Stress also arises from minor irritations, such as waiting too long in a queue or in traffic. Situations that cause stress in a person may be insignificant to another.

Levonorgestrel

Hi!
This is my third blog and I will talk about Levonorgestrel. The Levonorgestrel is a contraceptive drug used for prevent pregnancy. The debate over preovulatory and postovulatory effects of levonorgestrel in emergency contraception seems endless.
The doctor Carlos Valenzuela´s speech was very interesting, because it is a polemic topic today and a debate endless between the church and the scientific society. Also this topic is very important for me, because it has directly related with my career and my future professional as midwifery. In the future I will have that attend to woman for different reasons and one of these reasons will be the family planning programs.
In the family planning programs my work as midwifery is give information about the different alternatives of drug contraceptives and method anticonceptive. In this point is important the doctor Carlos Valenzuela´s speech that talk about the Levonorgestrol as a drug emergency contraception discarding its abortive action.
The paper of the doctor Carlos Valenzuela about postovulatory effects of Levonorgestrel in emergency contraception it is not very clear as the speech about the same subject. I understood better the research paper, because the speech of Doctor Carlos Venezuela was clear and simple, also he made graphics on the board and showed others similar investigations.
The point of view of the doctor Valenzuela is that the Levonorgestrel is not abortive, because this pill has no effect on embryo implantation in the uterus. The Levonorgestrel stop the cycle of the embryo in the Fallopian Tubes and of this way prevents a pregnancy.

Valdivia town =)

Hi!
This is my second blog and in this opportunity the subject of blog is free. So, I will write about my last holiday with my family in the south of Chile specifically in Valdivia city.
We travelled in a bus to the Valdivia city, the bus take 6 hours in arrived to the place. We travelled in the night to arrive in the morning. We were in cousin´s house and after we rented house in the center of Valdivia city.
Valdivia city is a historic place and today there are very places that remember battles and wars lived in other times. In these historic places you will found museums, many parks, typical foods, crafts and beautiful places with abundant nature, lakes and rivers. If you visit Valdivia city you will be able see the marine animals in the street and you will be able take pictures. Also if you visited Valdivia city, you would find the best beer of Chile called “kunstmann” and you would assist to “the feast of the beer”. In February you can enjoy of the “Valdivia week”, in this week there are different activities as concerts, theater, fairs of typical foods and crafts and fireworks in the last day of week.
The people that live in Valdivia city are very nice and cheerful. The principal economic activity in this city is the fishing and tourism.
If you travelled to Valdivia city, you would visit many historic places and you would eat many typical foods.

First of all, I want give the welcome to new students of English course in this new experience of blog.
In this opportunity I will write about my favorite book, the truth is that I have not one favorite book, because I love read and I have various favorite books.
Well, today I will write about a book very special and funny, the book is “La vuelta al mundo en 80 días”, this book was written by a French writer called Julio Verne. I liked so much this book because the story is very funny and the description of landscape is very beautiful.
This book relates the adventures of Phileas Fogg and his servant Picaporte when both decide to go around the world in a time of eighty days, to win a bet. For realize this big travel Phileas and Picaporte used differents transportations as trains, ships and elephant. During this long journey the two friends visited many countries and places. I won't tell you the end of the book, to give you the chance of read this great book full of adventures and experiences.

I read this book in the subject of language and communication when I was in 8° grade of the primary school. I recommend this book to all the people, because this book is very funny and exciting, also is a good book for children because tells funny stories and describes features about many places of the world.

This is my last blog and in this opportunity I will talk about my blog experience in the blog.
The blog was a good experience, because I learned news word and vocabulary that will help me in my labour future as midwifery and also for improve my writing.
Vocabulary is an essential tool for communicating with people from different countries, because English is a universal language.

The topics of the blogs were related with our career and our labour in the future. In my blog I did write about topics as my ideal job, education and prevention in my profession, gender role in health care, my future as a midwife and my favourite subject in career. The topics of blog were interesting and difficult in some situation.

The experience of the blog was difficult, because in many situations there is that used the imagination for write about the topics, but also the experience of the blog was easy because we used the internet tool for search words and also for search meaning words.

The English is very important for our future labour and for communicate with the people of different countries; also the English will help me for help the people round the world.

My Ideal Job

Hi! This is my eighth blog.

In this opportunity I will write about MY IDEAL JOB.
My ideal job as a midwifery in the future will be placed in a locality of the south of Chile, because there is few resources, professionals and health centers in that locations, also the people that live in this locations needs more help.
With respect to the health system (public or private) I would like to work in the public system, because that system it’s usually collapsed by the people that needs more and better attention, for that people that don’t have money to go to the private system.
The position that I want to have is in neonatology, taking care of the babies directly, giving education to the new parents for the cares of the babies. Another reason for why I want to work with the babies directly is because they are so fragile and smalls, they are so cute and need very much cares. The responsibility in neonatology and in the other specialities in works related with the health is very high because all of we, will work with the people, taking care of them, educating them, and finally guiding they to have a better health and life style.

The schedule that I want to have is from the morning to the evening as in every work, I want to assist patients that needs help, and that don’t have the resources to go to the private system, because they are the most beautiful people and they are very nearby and friendly. About the buildings, I think that isn’t important, we can give a good work in every place, isn’t necessary to be in a hospital, or in a polyclinical, all we need is the desire of give to the people the best of we have.

A love story

Hi! This is my seventh blog
In this opportunity I will write about a love story.
Alex was very sick when decided end with His girlfriend, she was very sad for this, because both were very happy together. Alex and Francisca were friends when they fell in love. Francisca was a beautiful woman and Alex always was very nice with people. They were a couple really united in all aspect. They lived together until the summer when Alex’s doctor told him that he had a disease. Since that day Alex began to feel bad and decided end with his girlfriend for so she will not suffer with this.
Francisca never thought that Alex had a terminal disease and that this will end with his life. When she asked to Alex for his disease he did not say anything and he said that this was the right thing.

One day Francisca and an Alex’s friend spoke about of the disease of Alex and he said that the disease of Alex was very harmful for his health and his days of lives were counted. She cried every day and she said that Alex was the love of her life.
Francisca went to saw Alex and she said that can´t leave him in this moment and that she will stay with him every days of his life, Alex answered that she was all in his life and that he only was a chapter in her life, and he said that after his gone she don’t be afraid of have another love.

In this opportunity I will write about education and prevention in my future profession as midwife and also about of topics as health on education, ways of prevention, kind of people to educate, how to educate and needs of the Chilean people.

In my profession is very important the education in the people for prevent situations that damage health of the persons. The midwifery should ensure care of the woman and the fetus giving information and helping to the persons

The topics in health education in my profession are sexuality, contraceptive methods, prevention sick of sexual transmission, the importance of the lactation, care and nutrition of pregnancy, care of newborn and the prevent of sick in the women.

The ways for prevent is giving information and education to the people and encourage to the persons mainly women for attend control of his health every time needed. Is very important to prevent deliver education to the people more young, because these are more exposed to risk factor that could affect your health. Another factor for considered in the prevent is the early sexual initiation in the young, this situation could be dangerous without prior education.

The needs of Chilean people are the economic resources that very often are not enough for cover the demands in health.

Hi, this is my fifth blog and in this opportunity I will talk about gender role in health care. In the careers of health there are many speciality for male and female, but many times the people think that some career are only for gender female or male for example the nursing and midwifery.
Before the people did think that the midwifery career was only for female, but now this think is changing, because in this career and many others are studying men and women in the same proportions.

The responsibility of gender in the health care from my point of view is the same, because both are working with a person and they should health care of this. In this point I feel that don’t have differences of gender.

The salaries that receive male and female are very different. The woman receive a more low salary that the man in every areas of job. I believe that this difference salary in the men and women is not just, because both have the same capabilities and skills for get the same objectives.

The kind of patient will be exclusive for men or women in specific situations for example in my career midwifery the kind of patient that I can help are the women. But also I can help to people in other situations for example working with the community.

The men and women have the same professional development, because both have the same capabilities and skill.

My future as a midwife

Hi everyone! This is my fourth blog and in this opportunity I will talk about MY FUTURE AS A MIDWIFE. First that everything I should said that I love my career and that I´m very proud of be studying midwifery, because is a very beautiful understand the processes involved in the pregnancy and the birth.
In the future I will like me to work with many different people in small town in the south of Chile, because I think that for these persons is very difficult receive attention in health and also I believe that to this regions don´t arrive help.
The schedule that I prefer to work is from the morning until the evening though if I have to work during the night of course that I do it.
I dont know where work if private system or public system is very difficult decide now, because the two system health are very different and the people that goes to these health centers is also different, for this reason and others is that i can't decide now.
I want to specialize me in neonatology because i want to work directly with the babies, taking care of them and avoiding problems in their borns to give they a good first day of live, also I want to educate the new mothers some things that how to raise their babies for the best way that they can do.

My favorite subject in my career

Hi! This is my third blog in this opportunity I will talk about of my favorite subject in my career. My favorite subject in the career is physiological midwifery this subject is very important in my future as midwife, because in this subject I learned about the biological processes of women and the fetus during the pregnancy . Also this subject is essencial in the development of our labour for example in the pregnancy control in the woman. The Physiological Midwifery for me is a topic very relevant in our job to future.
The contents most important of this subject are: the internal and external changes in the woman. this changes are very important in the diagnosis of pregnancy.
The contents of the class easiest are those that are related with the external changes of the woman since the principle until term of the pregnancy. The most difficult contents of the class are the processes involved in these changes, because this are very difficult to learned and many times I forget this processes.
In this subject there are many people that teaches and they are experts in diferrent topics related with the midwifery. My grades or marks in this subject are good and I will be exempt in this subject.

On the day of the earthquake too I was with my family and the exprience was horrible, because evething was moving and had not Light. In my future profesión as a midwife I would think help all those women who are pregnant or future moms.
